Linda Ryder IYTA Dip. 300HR Svastha Yoga Therapy Dip.
Linda started her teaching journey in 1999. Practicing and enjoying the Yogic Lifestyle and its benefits of health and well-being for just on thirty years. She loves working one to one with clients and teaching pre-natal, post-natal, mums n bubs yoga, along with her regular classes and yoga for teenagers in schools. She has attended intensives with world renowned teachers; Donna Farhi, Judith Lasater-Hansen, Katie Lane, Dr Ganesh Mohan. A trip to India intensified Linda's connection with the authentic yoga teachings of Krishnamacharya and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. She continues her studies online with AG Mohan, and is constantly learning from her studies and life.
Rhiannon has been practicing yoga for fifteen years and teaching for five. She has her Yoga Teaching Diploma through IYTA Yoga Aotearoa. She has studied the various teachers worldwide, including David Swenson (Ashtanga) in India and a range of wonderful teachers in New Zealand including Katie Lane (Anasura), Lois Mills (Iyengar), Sue Cleavor (Dru yoga) and Jason Magness and Chelsey Gribben (Aeroyoga), as well as (of course!) Linda and Hilary here at Yoga Centre Southland. She is passionate about helping people access an awareness of the pranic (energy) body and introduces a range of styles in her classes, from flow yoga to yin, to enable people to achieve balance and vitality.
Hilary Atley IYTA Dip
Hilary is a qualified IYTA teacher (completed 1995) and Integral Yoga teacher (completed 1990). She has been practicing yoga for over 30 years and still enjoys the challenges and rewards. To further her practice and teaching skills she has studied with many tutors including Donna Farhi and Judith Lasater-Hansen. A love of sharing all aspects of yoga is shown as she was a tutor for the IYTA teachers training for 8 years and was awarded a Fellow membership of IYTA in 2004. Her deep love of Yoga carries through to lifestyle spreading and trying to live peace and harmony, non-violence, understanding and tolerance for all.
